Register today for the 2024 Scone Equine Hospital Horse Festival Parade
2024 PARADE INFORMATION
- Marshalling will begin at 8am.
- All participants are to be on-site and prepared for judging from 9.30am.
- There will be no access into White Park from Guernsey Street during the marshalling of the parade.
- ALL PARADE TRAFFIC is to enter the marshalling area via Guernsey Street (there will be no access from Hill Street, nor the western end of Kingdon Street)
- There is no available parking in Guernsey Street between Liverpool St and White Park prior to or during the parade.
- Marshalling areas are outlined and on the map below:

- GREEN AREA (Kingdon Street between Hill and Guernsey Streets): large school floats (semi-trailers take priority), and then other Non-Equine participants (It is best to accompany and deliver children for the school floats from the back area of the Coles car park and walk the children across from there.)
- PINK AREA (entrance to White Park and White Park carparks): ONLY Equine participants
- YELLOW AREA (Kingdon Street between Guernsey Street and the railway line): all other Non-Equine participants, including non-school semi-trailers
- BLUE AREA (very southern end of Hill Street): the Upper Hunter Motoring Association will congregate here
- Do not throw lollies or any missiles from vehicles. Walkers can only pass out lollies, brochures, or information.
- Children under the age of 12 riding horses must have a supervisor and it is recommended that such children are led and controlled by a responsible person during the Parade.
- It is expected that riding helmets be worn whilst participating in the Parade.
- No alcohol is to be consumed by any person in vehicles, on floats or horseback in the Parade, and there should not be any promotion or display of alcohol.
- When your float returns to the marshalling area after the parade you must disembark from the vehicle immediately before it moves away from the area.
- Horse participants must remain in the marshalling area until the parade is over.
- Please comply and follow the directions given to you by committee marshals, Upper Hunter Council traffic controllers or Police in the marshalling area.
- The Scone Horse Festival Committee and Upper Hunter Shire Council do not accept responsibility for injuries sustained by participants or any damages to property.
- The parade will start off at 10.45am sharp.
