All roads will lead back home to Scone for the 2025 Warburton Estate Agents Scone Horse Festival with the theme, announced today, calling on past and present residents to revel in their love of Australia’s Horse Capital.
2025 SHF theme: ‘Home is where the Horse is: 45 years of heart in Scone’
Festival President, Jason Hill, said the nostalgic 2025 theme will explore the remarkable 45-year history of the Scone Horse Festival, celebrate the people who were integral to the foundation of the event and encourage everyone to reminisce on their favourite Scone moments.
“Scone is a remarkable community filled with rich Australian equine history which has been celebrated through the Festival each year,” Mr Hill said.
“In 2025 we will take a trip down memory lane to remember the incredible moments of the past 45 years, and we are excited to see how the community embraces this.”
Mr Hill, who is also the CEO of Scone Race Club, will generously serve his first term as Festival President in 2025, after recently being elected by committee members.
“I am honoured to be taking on the role of President of the Warburton Estate Agents Scone Horse Festival in 2025, and what better way to start then with a theme which encourages our community to showcase their most significant moments of the past 45 years.
“This Festival is an integral part of the rich equine heritage of the Upper Hunter Valley. It is a highly regarded event which provides entertainment and competition, while delivering significant economic and social benefits to the region with around 10,000 people attending each year.
“While being new to the area and the industry its patently clear the significance of the Horse Festival to Scone and the region. The responsibility isn’t lost on me and hopefully we can do everybody proud,” Mr Hill said.
“It is a remarkable achievement for our community to hold such an event for 45 years and I am honoured to now be a part of it.”
The Warburton Estate Agents Scone Horse Festival will return from 9th – 18th May 2025 for 10 days of exciting and entertaining equine events showcasing the versatility of the horse and the important role they play within the Upper Hunter Valley region and around the world.
With the revitalisation of Scone’s main street now almost complete, the 2025 Festival is expected to be one of the best with the much-loved Scone Equine Hospital Horse Festival Parade to showcase the finished upgrades.
