The prestigious 2024 Warburton Estate Agents Scone Horse Festival VIP Awards, held tonight, showcased the finest achievements within the Scone region equine industry, honouring those who have made remarkable contributions to the region’s rich equestrian heritage.
The evening’s celebration were marked by the recognition of three outstanding winners, each representing excellence in their respective categories: Horse of the Year, Young Achiever of the Year, and VIP of the Year.
Horse of the Year: Dalswinton Charlotte, owned by Tony and Pam Parry
Dalswinton Charlotte, under the stewardship of dedicated owners Tony and Pam Parry, emerged as the epitome of equine excellence. Notable victories at prestigious events such as the Sydney Royal Easter Show and the Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular underscored Charlotte’s success. Her impressive performance, including securing multiple champion titles, culminated in the prestigious Supreme Champion Clydesdale accolade, solidified her status as a beacon of excellence within the Clydesdale breed.
Young Achiever of the Year: Paige Baxter
Paige Baxter, a rising star within the equestrian community, shone brightly as the Young Achiever of the Year. Paige’s versatility and dedication across various equestrian disciplines, from eventing and showjumping to dressage and campdrafting, showcased her exceptional talent and unwavering commitment. Her numerous accolades, including victories at the Off The Track Equimillion and the Tamworth Junior Reining Championship, underscore her remarkable achievements and promising future within the sport.
VIP of the Year: Julee Gilmore
Julee Gilmore, honored as the VIP of the Year, exemplifies the spirit of dedication and service within the equine community. As a founding member of the Upper Hunter Dressage Club and a stalwart presence at the Scone Pony Club, Julee’s tireless efforts as Treasurer and Competition Coordinator have been instrumental in fostering the growth and success of these organizations. Her selfless contributions extend beyond the equestrian realm, as evidenced by her invaluable support for community events such as the Beef Bonanza, where her leadership and expertise have left an indelible mark.
