The theme for the much-anticipated 2024 Warburton Estate Agents Scone Horse Festival can now be announced, after an influx of exciting public submissions were received by the Festival committee and a common theme identified.
2024 SHF theme: ‘Let the games begin!’
Festival President, Andrew Cooper, said the theme ‘Let the games begin!’ acknowledges the 2024 Olympics held in Paris next year, as well as the successful past and present equestrians, horses and Olympians from around the world, particularly those from Australia.
“We are wonderfully excited to announce that the theme for the 2024 festival is ‘Let the games begin!’,” Mr Cooper said. “This is a fun, energetic theme which will provide many great opportunities for local businesses, schools, children and equine lovers to get involved.
“The 2024 theme will also pay tribute to the brilliant Australian equestrians, horses and Olympians who have competed on the world stage. We are excited to discover – through this theme – who from our region has connections to past and present Olympians!
“We also saw this theme as a great way to bring joy and fun back into the community after months of renovation in Scone’s main street, which we know has been a challenging time for businesses.”
The Warburton Estate Agents Scone Horse Festival will return from 10th – 19th May 2024 for 10 days of exciting and entertaining equine events showcasing the versatility of the horse and the important role they play within the Upper Hunter Valley region and around the world.
The historic town of Scone is well known as the ‘Horse Capital of Australia’ and 2024 marks 44 years of the Warburton Estate Agents Scone Horse Festival.
“It is quite the achievement for our community to hold such a well-regarded and well-attended festival for 44 years,” Mr Cooper said.
“2024 is already shaping up to be one of the best too; Warburton Estate Agents has come on board as the first-ever naming rights sponsor, Scone’s recently revitalised main street is in sparkling form for the parade and our recently announced theme is already drumming up excitement.”
