Not only do we have the largest veterinary group in the southern hemisphere right here in Scone, but it is also home to some of Australia’s best equine veterinarians/ specialists in their field.
The Scone Equine Hospital employs 100 people throughout the year, including the peak breeding season.
The Scone Equine Hospital is integral to the thoroughbred studs in Scone, the Horse Capital of Australia, whose concentration of thoroughbred studs is second only to Kentucky in the USA. However they also treat all types of horses, from elite athletes to loved companions; Olympians to pleasure horses; kids’ ponies to working horses and newborns to retirees.
The team here know that it takes all types of horses and horse owners to make a horse capital community and they are heavily involved in supporting the community through sponsorship and contributions to pony clubs, local schools, Scone Race Club, bush fire appeals, Where there’s a Will, HTBA and many more.
The Scone Equine Hospital Horse Festival Parade has been sponsored by the Scone Equine Hospital for many years now.
“We feel that it is vital to support the Horse Festival and keep the spirit alive in a town that is world renowned for being the Horse Capital of Australia and the home of many historic stud farms and industry legends.”
“The Scone Equine Hospital Horse Festival Parade merges the Scone and equine communities together for a fun event to be involved in and to watch from the sidelines” says Cameron Collins, Managing Director, Scone Equine Hospital.
